ABOUT LESLIE BAUMHOWER
Leslie Baumhower is an award-winning artist, specializing in oil-based abstracts and florals. She studied Fine Art at Florida State University and is also a dance instructor at Creative Outlet Dance Studio where she and family reside in Fairhope, AL.
In addition to painting and dance, Leslie is a full-time mother of four, and wife to former Crimson Tide and Miami Dolphin great-turned-restaurateur, Bob Baumhower.
ARTIST STATEMENT
Only in nature is the softness and harmony of color so fluid. I blink and I see color, I blink again and I see movement. The excitement in trying to recreate something that is always changing is the thrill of my process. I move my paint around in a way that chases the hundreds of mental images that I see every time that I walk out the door.
